EFR Training Programme – November 2013
The next Irish Red Cross Emergency First Responder Training Programme will take place on the following dates:
- Module 1: 2nd & 3rd November 2013
- Module 2: 16th & 17th November 2013
- Module 3: 30th November & 1st December 2013
Time: Course will run from 09:00 – 18.00 each day
Possible venues include Kilbehenny, Limerick, Cork, Slane, Dublin and Connemara (depending on numbers)
Pre-requisites:
- Aged 18+
- Current Intermediate First Aid Certificate
- Current CFR-C
- Manual Handling & Risk Assessment Certificate (these courses will commence in September and must be completed within 6 months of completing the EFR course)
- Child Protection Level 1 Certificate
- Must be Garda vetted through the Irish Red Cross
The EFR Sub-Group recommend that you complete the Ambulance Procedures and Radio Operator Level 1 course prior to undertaking the EFR Course, but this is not a prerequisite.
To apply: please contact your Branch/Area Secretary or Area Director of Units. Your application must include evidence/copies of the required certificates.
Application Closing Date: Wednesday 18th September 2013
Please note the National Exam for this course is scheduled for the weekend of the 11th & 12th January 2014. Venues TBC.
